The Professor has been involved in many academic seminars inside and outside of the country.

Dr. Abdul Rahman, Sherzad upon his successful graduation in 2006, was offered a teaching position at the Computer Science Faculty of Herat University as a volunteer and then in 2009, he was officially appointed as an academic member of the same faculty of the same university. In 2008, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems at Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), which he successfully completed in 2010. He has been teaching for a couple of years and eventually, has been awarded a Ph.D. scholarship at TU Berlin in 2015, and on July 2018 he successfully defended his research and received his Ph.D. certificate.
Since 2009, Dr. Sherzad has performed various tasks at the faculty and university level, such as:
- Deputy Dean of Computer Science faculty;
- Head of Information and Database department of Computer Science faculty;
- Head of Information Department of Herat University;
- Active role in Academic Committees of Herat University as well as Computer Science;
- Member of the Scientific Council of Herat University as well as Computer Science.
During his doctoral program, he also had a lot of academic activities, such as:
- Presenting in a series of National IT Conferences at the Ministry of Higher Education;
- Presenting in many colloquiums at the ZiiK of the TU Berlin.
- Holding seminars for the computer science students of both public and private university
- Publishing academic reports, posters, and articles
